 Our Document Shredding Process

When your shredding service sacks are full, it’s time to drop them off at one of our centres. Here are the simple steps:

1) Call us to book your shredding in: 01932 300212

Our shredding service centres are major industrial units. They are busy and sometimes have large vehicles moving on site. We welcome Hungry Shredder customers on site by appointment – it is important that you call us before you visit to ensure that we can provide you with a safe and convenient service. You can usually visit on the day that you call – please check the opening times of your local centre for more information.

2) Check-In:

Our service centre buildings are secured throughout the day so please ring the bell for reception. You will then be greeted by a friendly member of staff who will receive the sacks from you and check them into our system. This verification step uses the code printed on your sacks [the Item ID barcode for all sacks dispatched after August 2015]- it is essential that this code is visible and undamaged for us to be able to check your bags in.

3) Secure shredding:

Once check-in is complete, you will usually be able to watch your shredding go through our industrial shredders for total peace of mind. If, for any reason, shredding while you wait is unavailable, you will have the option to return at a convenient time, or to leave the sacks with us. If you leave them with us they will be securely stored and then shredded within 24 hours. The shreds of paper are compacted and baled into half-tonne bales. These are then sent for recycling, to return as low-grade paper.

4) Email Confirmation:

After your shredding is completed you can leave the shredding service centre. Your will receive an email confirmation of the sacks that you have shredded. We also ask for your feedback so that we can continually improve our service. Please let us know what you thought of our service.
